Textile Dokumente was commissioned for the anniversary of Stadthalle Biberach, creating a site-specific textile artwork inspired by the building’s controversial beginnings, its architecture and the diverse reactions and emotions it evoked within the local community at the time.

The process began with image and information research in the city archives, gathering visual and historical references that were translated into a more abstract visual language for large-scale textile prints. Different compositions and formations were then developed to respond to the architecture of the Stadthalle and allow the panels to be arranged in changing constellations, both indoors and outdoors.

From historical research and visual abstraction to textile design and spatial installation, the project transformed layers of the building’s story into a flexible and contemporary artwork.
